Dr. Tiffany Avery is our Clinic Director and a Licensed Acupuncturist that is Nationally Board Certified by the NCCAOM. She graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DACM) and the Phoenix Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAc, MSOM). She specializes in Medical Acupuncture, Orthopedic Medicine and Fertility. Dr. Avery is an active member of the NCCAOM, AAMA, AAAOM, and the Asian Medicine Acupuncturists of Arizona. She was inspired to become an Acupuncturist after it helped her recover from an ATV accident as a teen. The thing she loves most about Acupuncture is that it is extremely effective, non-invasive and an affordable treatment modality. She joined the Modern Acupuncture team because it makes Acupuncture more accessible and affordable so that people can make it part of their daily preventative routine. When she isn’t working, Dr. Avery coaches youth baseball and volleyball. She also enjoys snowboarding, riding dirt bikes, bow-hunting, hiking, and gardening.
Laura is a graduate of Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Phoenix, AZ. She completed additional training at Chengdu University of Traditional Medicine in Chengdu, China. She decided to become an acupuncturist after seeing the healing benefits of acupuncture on her niece who had severe migraines with visual disturbances. She went from having migraines 3-5 times a week, to having them once or twice a year.
What Laura likes most about acupuncture is treating chronic pain without opioids, addressing the health and wellness of her patients, and helping the body to heal itself naturally.
Laura chose Modern Acupuncture because it has convenient locations, the setting is serene, and the price point allows for greater accessibility to frequent acupuncture treatment.
When she isn’t treating patients, Laura enjoys serving at her church, exercising, and reading.

As a strong believer in the idea that a community of like-minded people can elevate the power of healing, Tina Rae is a natural advocate for the community style of acupuncture.Modern Acupuncture is similar in concept to community acupuncture, but with the added benefit of partial privacy.
In her free time, Tina Rae Loves to laugh, and have fun. She is always up for the next new adventure. She also loves to play rugby, ride her mountain bike “sugar”, and spend quality time with her family.

Dee always welcomes me with a bright smile and I leave feeling amazing after my treatments with Dr. Tiffany. It is not where you go, but who you see and this clinic is top notch with these two ladies.
The moment I walked in I was greeted by Cali who is very professional. She made my tea and got me in right away. Dr. Tiffany was my doctor and she was accurate and proficient. I have had lots of acupuncture prior to Modern Acupuncture, but her skills are exceptional. The experience is the people!
I am into my second month going to Modern Acupuncture for a pinched nerve; each visit not only am I feeling better but the my experience and the relaxation aspect keep getting better and better. I am glad I saw the location on 16th and Camelback as it has been convenient and each of the Dr's has been terrific.
The front desk is very welcoming and professional on the phone. Dr. Avery knows what she is doing, I always leave pain free and get the results I came in for. She takes the time to explain her treatment and her bedside manor is top notch!
