Julie attended Emperor’s College in Santa Monica and Dongguk University in Los Angeles, graduating with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. She became an acupuncturist after experiencing the benefits of Chinese medicine herself. She wanted to help others with a natural and holistic approach to treating and preventing disease and maintaining overall well-being.
What Julie loves about being an acupuncturist is being able to help people feel better, alleviating or resolving chronic conditions without the dependency on drugs or invasive surgery and complementing and enhancing the effects of conventional medicine.
Julie decided to join the Modern Acupuncture team because she likes the mission of making acupuncture more affordable and accessible so that more people can experience the benefits of regular treatments.
When Julie isn’t treating patients, she enjoys time with her family, reading, exercising and working on various DIY projects.
Rachel is a graduate of South Baylo University. She decided to become an acupuncturist when she learned about it in high school before ever having a treatment. She felt immediately drawn to learning acupuncture and how the body works. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is helping people alleviate pain, stress or other health issues using only needles.
Outside of treating patients, Rachel’s hobbies and interests include Harry Potter, animals, playing board games with friends, and learning how to crochet.
