George attended the Pacific College of Health & Science as well as AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. At the time he decided to become an acupuncturist he was already a personal trainer, Asian Bodyworker and Nutritionist. Traditional Chinese Medicine encompasses movement, manual therapies, nutrition and more, so it was the next logical step for him to be able to help people with a deeper perspective. George believes acupuncture can improve his patient’s lives by calming and clearing the mind, alleviating pain, and bringing them back into balance. Being able to work on a team of practitioners delivering effective treatments is what made him decide to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team. The things George loves most about San Diego are the culture and access to beaches.
Maria Attended the Pacific College of Health and Science (Formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a.k.a. PCOM). She always wanted to be a healer and pursued the medical school route, but found it wasn't a good fit for her. She learned about acupuncture from friends and family who were getting treated and it piqued her interest. Maria started getting acupuncture herself to see if she liked it as a career prospect. At the time she considered herself to be in good health and by biomedical standards she was, but after going to get acupuncture regularly, she began to notice improvement in aspects of her wellbeing such as sleep, mood and energy levels that took her overall health to a higher level. The experience affirmed her interest in taking the path to become a practitioner of natural medicine. Maria believes acupuncture can improve patient’s lives with its subtle yet potentially profound effect on health. She decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team because the model makes it accessible to receive acupuncture regularly, so that people can really get the most benefit from it. When asked what she loves most about San Diego, Maria says “I love living near the beach, the year round beautiful weather, and the friendly so-Cal vibe.”
Nazli attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. After graduating from medical school and practicing, she realized that Western medicine can't fully satisfied patient's needs. She perused acupuncture and fell in love with Acupuncture and Eastern medicine's point of view. She believes acupuncture makes people's lives better in many different ways. For example, it eases pain and calms the mind. With a clear mind people can easily tackle the challenges of daily life. Stress is considered as a risk factor of some problems such as indigestion, emotional issues, headache and neck and shoulder pain. By reducing stress, acupuncture not only helps to prevent these problems but also can relief the symptoms. Nazli joined Modern Acupuncture Del Mar because it has a welcoming and friendly environment and she have a great chance to collaborate with other acupuncturist. Nazli lives in Del Mar because it is beautiful city, close to the beach and has a very relaxing and calming environment.

Wonderful experience all around. Maria is great helping me with my IBS. I can’t believe what a difference it’s made on my digestion. I used to be in pain every time I ate out. With only 4 treatments I can eat without horrible pain. I’m sold, acupuncture works and it’s relaxing. I always have a nice little nap.
My appointmentModem Acupuncture Del Mar was wonderful. I am new to this health and wellness practice so was a little nervous. George, my acupuncturist , was very knowledgeable and gentle. His explanation of what to expect was perfect. I highly recommend this acupuncture site for health and wellness
