Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Dana Becker, MSTCM, L.Ac., #AC17527Dana Becker, MSTCM, L.Ac., #AC17527

Dana is a graduate of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. Her path to becoming an acupuncturist began when she had the worst hip pain and nothing was helping.  After two cortisone shots and little relief, she found acupuncture. After only four treatments she felt so much better.  She also noticed that her menstrual pain was completely gone. She was amazed and hooked and wanted to learn as much as she could about the medicine and also how to help more women have pain-free cycles.

The thing Dana loves most about being an acupuncturist is watching people who have been in so much pain get back to enjoying their lives.  She loves that she gets to help people feel relaxed and supported in this crazy world.

Dana joined the Modern Acupuncture team because she likes that the methods used in the clinics are science-based and that there is a team of people working together.  She feels connected to the mission to get as many people as possible to experience acupuncture.

When she isn’t treating patients, Dana enjoys hiking and riding her bike, and anything else that gets her outside.  She regularly harvests wild plants and makes medicines from them. She likes knowing what is in season and in her neighborhood.  She also loves writing and playing music on the ukulele and guitar.

Sandhya Sathyanarayana, L.Ac. #AC18233Sandhya Sathyanarayana, L.Ac. #AC18233

Sandhya is a graduate of Five Branches University in San Jose, CA. Growing up, she always wanted to be a medical professional. When she moved to the US, she pursued studies in computer science. However, her inner calling was to be a medical practitioner. She found acupuncture and Chinese medicine to be a fascinating and very compelling science. She pursued her Masters in Acupuncture and got her license to practice in the state of CA. Now, as a practitioner, she feels this has been her destiny all along.

Sandhya is a true believer that the best karma is in helping others. Being an Acupuncturist provides her an opportunity to do her best every day to help patients heal. That's what she loves most in her profession.

Sandhya joined the Modern acupuncture team because the model provides holistic care, using simple, yet very effective methods. These methods are well suited for this day and age. She likes the treatment methodology and team spirit, with the greatest focus on patient care.

When she isn't treating patients, Sandhya enjoys singing, healthy living, yoga, and spending time with her kids.

Andrew Eng, L.Ac. #18685Andrew Eng, L.Ac. #18685

Andrew is a graduate of Yo San University in Los Angeles, California. He decided to become an acupuncturist because it was the natural progression after a career as a Massage Therapist and Energy Healer. He had accumulated many injuries as a professional dancer and Martial Arts acrobat and had developed techniques to heal each of those injuries. Andrew became an acupuncturist to better help his patients and to gain a deeper understanding of self-healing and energy.

What Andrew loves most about being an acupuncturist is that he has a modality of healing to help other people, which is highly effective, and has a deep breadth of information and history. He also appreciates that it is easy on his body.  TCM makes a lot of sense to Andrew, and he wants to be a proponent of this wonderful medicine.

Andrew chose to be a part of the Modern Acupuncture team because he believes in the model of the company. He loves the beautiful environment, and that it makes acupuncture easily accessible to the general population.

Outside of work, Andrew loves training in Martial Arts like Kung Fu, Eskrima, and Tai Chi. He also enjoys training in street styles of dance like Popping, Breaking, and House. He is an avid practitioner of self-care methods like meditation, Qi Gong, massage ball therapy, and stretching.

Neelee Tan, MSAOM, L.Ac. #18689Neelee Tan, MSAOM, L.Ac. #18689

Neelee graduated with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from South Baylo University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University. She decided to become an acupuncturist because Chinese Medicine helped improve her health and to understand better how emotions, nutrients, and the environment all affect her body and well-being. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is seeing her patients get the relief they have been seeking for so long. She loves when they report on their positive progress.

Neelee joined the Modern Acupuncture team to be able to treat more patients and hone her skills as an acupuncturist.

When she isn’t treating patients, Neelee enjoys studying, hiking, and cooking.

Snowy Tung, L.Ac #AC18463Snowy Tung, L.Ac #AC18463

Snowy is a graduate of the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences. The book “Huang Di Nei Jing” inspired her path toward studying Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She loves the well-rounded approach to maintaining health and well-being. Her studies helped improve her health and allow her to help others regain their wellness. Snowy appreciates how gentle, simple, low-tech interventions and a peaceful way for healing can make such a vast improvement in a person’s quality of life. She’s seen countless patients find relief from pain and tension.

Snowy joined the Modern Acupuncture team because she believes in the mission of making lives better, and she wants to help educate the public on the benefits of acupuncture when incorporated into their regular health and wellness routine. She also appreciates the opportunity to learn from experts in acupuncture and receive continuing education credit for her training.

When she isn’t treating patients, Snowy enjoys traveling, biking, and watching movies with her family.
