Kendra attended acupuncture school at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shortly after having her son, she began having pain in her hips and low back. After receiving acupuncture treatments for several weeks, she began to notice improvements in not only her hips and back, but in other areas as well. She started to find balance in areas that she did not realize were out of balance to begin with. This inspired her to become an acupuncturist and share it with others. Kendra believes acupuncture is a wonderful way for people to self-care. She says, “there is so much in our daily environments that it is easy to upset the body’s natural rhythm. Whether experiencing acute or chronic issues, acupuncture can help bring balance back when the body loses that natural rhythm. With acupuncture we are able to influence the body to help correct such imbalances. Much can be achieved by making time for oneself to be still, receive treatment and let the body come back to balance.” Kendra decided to become part of the M.A. Acupuncture team to bring convenient and affordable acupuncture to a wide range of people within the community. She looks forward to working within a collective of like-minded people wanting to share acupuncture with as many people as possible. When asked what she loves most about Colorado Springs, Kendra says “Colorado Springs is a beautiful city. I love the mountain view and easy access to being in nature."
Lori attended the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine San Diego Campus. She graduated magna cum laude with her Masters in Acupuncture and Asian Medicine. She worked in the Health and Beauty industry since age 17 as a Licensed Cosmetologist, but was always intrigued with nature based healing and Medicine. Lori loves working with the public and decided to take her experience in helping people to a deeper level by becoming an acupuncturist. She believes acupuncture can make patient’s lives better by relieving the stress response which in turn relieves inflammation and disease. After 10 years in medical acupuncture and 16 years in private practice Lori decided to become part of the M.A. Acupuncture team to support a concept that is bringing affordable and accessible acupuncture front and center to the community. When asked what she loves most about Colorado Springs, Lori says “The views! Pikes Peak is inspiring and creates an ever changing palate of color, its just beautiful. Living in its foot print gives me a sense of being more closely connected to nature.”

I had been suffering from anxiety for about a year. My life was completely unpredictable because I could never tell when it would jump from mild to severe. I was nervous to try acupuncture, but they made it so calm and easy. I felt dramatic results right away. I am confident this is treating my anxiety and leading me to a fully happy life again. Thank you!
What a beautiful place and such a relaxing way to get rid of a migraine! April is very knowledgable and kind and makes the whole experience wonderful. I've told all of my friends and I highly recommend Modern Acupuncture to anyone who wants to feel better.
I am so lucky to have found this place! I have been dealing with neuropathy in my feet and toes, due to daily chemo treatments. The Acupuncturists ( April and Amanda, recently) I have seen here have always been so wonderful and knowledgeable. They have helped me a Great deal with pain management. I was also blessed with winning paid sessions for a year, by simply signing up for a raffle at one of their many open houses. There is little or no pain from the treatments mostly because of the experience of the acupuncturists. Just had to express my gratitude to Modern Acupuncture for all the time and help they have given me, as well as as my wife!
