Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Cathy Di Maggio, L.Ac. #ACU00662Cathy Di Maggio, L.Ac. #ACU00662

Cathy attended the Colorado School of Chinese Medicine in Denver, CO. She decided after she retired from the US Army to become an acupuncturist because she wanted to help people heal without all the drugs, invasive surgeries, and procedures. Acupuncture treats not only the problem but helps correct the imbalances that cause them. Helping people to have a happy, healthy, pain-free life is her greatest joy. After 20 years as an acupuncturist, she has joined Modern Acupuncture to be on a team that offers quick and affordable treatments. Relocated to Colorado Springs in 1995 just returned from a year in Alaska. Cathy loves to fly fish, camp, hike, and to ride her motorcycle

Dr. Monte Labash, DACM, LAc. #ACU0002524 Dr. Monte Labash, DACM, LAc. #ACU0002524

Monte attended acupuncture school at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Being able to provide a medicine that is non-evasive and exhibits a natural and holistic approach led him to acupuncture. His morals with medicine include prevention, lifestyle change, and using an alternative route first or congruently. Monte loves seeing the reactions patients have to their treatment. Whether it is a patient immediately "de-stressing" after a long day or seeing improvement in a chronic condition, helping people makes him love practicing acupuncture! He decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team because it provides patients with a quick, effective treatment in a group environment. This enables more people to experience the amazing effects of acupuncture. Monte says he is happy to be a part of an institution that provides this! Outside of work, he enjoys half marathon training, exploring outdoors, reading, learning Spanish, and binge watching TV.

I had been suffering from anxiety for about a year. My life was completely unpredictable because I could never tell when it would jump from mild to severe. I was nervous to try acupuncture, but they made it so calm and easy. I felt dramatic results right away. I am confident this is treating my anxiety and leading me to a fully happy life again. Thank you!

What a beautiful place and such a relaxing way to get rid of a migraine! April is very knowledgable and kind and makes the whole experience wonderful. I've told all of my friends and I highly recommend Modern Acupuncture to anyone who wants to feel better.

I am so lucky to have found this place! I have been dealing with neuropathy in my feet and toes, due to daily chemo treatments. The Acupuncturists ( April and Amanda, recently) I have seen here have always been so wonderful and knowledgeable. They have helped me a Great deal with pain management. I was also blessed with winning paid sessions for a year, by simply signing up for a raffle at one of their many open houses. There is little or no pain from the treatments mostly because of the experience of the acupuncturists. Just had to express my gratitude to Modern Acupuncture for all the time and help they have given me, as well as as my wife!
