Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

April Heller L.Ac. #2399April Heller L.Ac. #2399

April attended the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida. She decided to become an acupuncturist because she believed in the body’s innate ability to heal itself.  She believed that overloading the system with medications often does more harm than good. April feels that being able to help people live their best lives is incredibly rewarding. Seeing people healing and feeling well, both physically and mentally, is what she loves the most about being an acupuncturist. Modern Acupuncture’s quick, accurate, and affordable treatments for patients is why April decided to become part of the team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, fishing, and reading.

Shiyin (Jessica) Cheung, L.Ac. #0002362Shiyin (Jessica) Cheung, L.Ac. #0002362

Jessica is a graduate of the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She decided to go to acupuncture school after working in an acupuncture clinic for four years. There she witnessed patients finding relief and getting better with acupuncture daily. She thinks acupuncture is an amazing ancient technology.

The thing she loves most about being an acupuncturist is helping a lot of people and relieving their pain.

She decided to join the Modern Acupuncture team because of the distal needling method used in the clinics. She says it was very similar to what she learned in China and thinks it is a great technique.

When she isn’t working, Jessica enjoys reading and listening to music.
