Julie is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture. She became an acupuncturist because she found acupuncture very effective as a patient. She was already a massage therapist, and she felt the two professions would provide many more options to help people. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is that she can have a profoundly positive impact on someone’s life in a very short period of time.
Julie joined Modern Acupuncture to be part of a collaborative team and to help as many people as she can.
When she isn’t treating patients, Julie enjoys being outdoors, cycling, hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
Amanda attended the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS University. Some years back, she experienced premenopausal symptoms at a young age during a very stressful point in her life. As a last resort, she decided to try acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs to help alleviate her symptoms. Amanda was amazed how quickly her symptoms resolved with regular acupuncture. It was after that experience she decided to become an acupuncturist. Seeing patients get results and improving their quality of life is what she loves most about being an acupuncturist. Amanda decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team after learning about its mission to incorporate assessible and effective treatment models of acupuncture for the everyday person. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, exploring other cultures, cooking using traditional methods, and pampering her pups.
