Justin earned his Bachelor’s in medicine from the Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and his Master of Medicine from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, in China.

During his first internship at a hospital, he witnessed the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating patient’s major concerns in a very short time. As an acupuncturist, he takes great pride in helping patients solve their health problems.

Justin joined the Modern Acupuncture team because he wanted to be a part of the first clinic in RI. He wants to help develop the East Side market and serve the RI community with high-quality service and professional care.

When he isn’t treating patients, Justin enjoys fitness, biking, fishing, traveling, reading, and watching movies.

She decided to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine because she liked the holistic approach to healing the human body.  Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is helping people get relief from their pains and ailments.

Gloria decided to join Modern Acupuncture because she liked the concept of providing easy access to acupuncture for more people.

When she isn’t working, Gloria likes reading books, playing tennis, and skiing with her husband and two daughters in the winter. She is a member of GMCC and Charles River Chorale. She also volunteers for Baypath Humane Society fostering dogs and cats.

Gabrielin Figuerado DAOMGabrielin Figuerado DAOM

Gabrielin attended the New York College of Health Professions in Long Island, NY. She decided to become an acupuncturist because as a nurse, she saw firsthand the need for a holistic approach to be used in conjunction with western medicine. Gabrielin’s favorite thing about being an acupuncturist is how fascinated patients are with what acupuncture can do. It continues to amaze her every day. She choose to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team after a recent trip to China, where she visited a TCM hospital unit. There, the patients receive daily treatments and achieve better outcomes in a shorter amount of time. She is happy to provide similar care for patients here. Outside of work, Gabrielin enjoys caring for her house plants, and planning her next camping or hiking trip.

I never knew what acupuncture was and I am so happy that I found it. Honestly didn’t believe or understand what it could do. Until i started to do my treatments consistently, ive noticed so much improvement in my health all around, I am starting to understand and look at my body and health differently. Everything that ive gone to a western dr for, I would get a simple answer such as take a medication/vitamin with no improvement, I don’t feel like that is actually caring or figuring out what the actual issues is and how to change what i’m doing to improve it. While ALL the acupuncturist work together to understand my body, listen to what I am asking, being able to answer my question as well as provide me with treatment beyond my personalized plan. Acupuncture has truly changed my life and i highly recommend it to every single person!

It’s everything I expected and more. From the first moment I stepped, I knew I found my new favorite place. Each time I look forward to the perfect blend of music, atmosphere, relaxation, and benefits of acupuncture coming all into one. You will feel zen during and after each visit. Well worth every penny. The packages are perfectly priced as well.

I absolutely love it here! From the ladies at the front desk, to the complementary tea, all the way down to the acupuncture treatment itself. Everything is so relaxing and "zen." I always leave feeling better, than when I walked in.

Modern Acupuncture Garden City was amazing! The reception team was really informed and made me fell comfortable quickly. The atmosphere is so relaxing...my acupuncturist Justin was so patient and caring. I have experienced shin splints recently and basic aches and pains. I felt much better a day or two after my 1st treatment. I am looking forward to my next visits!
