Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Reynold Wong, L.Ac. #18338Reynold Wong, L.Ac. #18338

Reynold is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He became an acupuncturist because it was a part of his culture growing up and he wanted to be able to help people.  His favorite part about being an acupuncturist is being able to help someone feel better, especially when everything else has failed.

Reynold joined the Modern Acupuncture team because he wants to hone his skills and be a more confident and efficient practitioner.

When he isn’t treating patients, Reynold enjoys participating in anything active including working out, snowboarding, going to the beach or just hanging out with friends and family.

Lauren Sherrell, L.Ac., DACM #AC17614Lauren Sherrell, L.Ac., DACM #AC17614

Lauren graduated with her MSAOM from South Baylo University in 2016 and went on to complete her DACM from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2019. Growing up with a chronically ill family member, she wanted to practice a medicine that honored the mind-body-spirit connection. While conventional care is essential, it seemed to be missing a holistic view of the patient that she felt was addressed by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is feeling like she’s able to present an alternative to pharmaceuticals that helps make a difference in someone’s quality of life.

Lauren joined the Modern Acupuncture team because she knows distal needling is highly effective, and she wanted the opportunity to make it accessible to the general populace.

When she isn’t treating patients, Lauren enjoys standup comedy, art, cooking, and reading (particularly about psychology or obscure topics).
