Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Jenny Sohn, L.Ac. #17691Jenny Sohn, L.Ac. #17691

Jenny graduated from South Baylo University in Los Angeles with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She initially discovered the benefits of acupuncture when she was struggling with facial eczema ten years ago. She had tried dozens of different remedies from topical creams to oral medications, but none of them provided lasting results. However, with continued acupuncture treatments, eczema soon became nonexistent and has never returned since. Now, she is a firm believer in natural healing. “Regardless of the condition, you should never simply ‘mask’ the symptoms and pretend it is gone; you must revert the body back to balance and let it heal itself. Acupuncture does just that!”

He graduated with his MSTOM degree (Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine) in 2017 and is currently finishing his doctorates in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. While in school, he worked at two off-site externships, one being the Veteran Center and at RIMAC center located at UCSD (University of California San Diego). This provided him the opportunity to utilized distal needling acupuncture to treat their Veterans and Athletes. To further expand his knowledge in acupuncture, he continues to take CEU classes in distal acupuncture and facial rejuvenation. Michael Cohen, L.Ac. #17759Michael Cohen, L.Ac. #17759

Michael Cohen is a licensed acupuncturist with undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Florida and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.

Michael’s desire to become an acupuncturist began after three of his loved ones became ill with cancer. At the time, he was working in finance for a Fortune 500 company and decided to make a shift from helping people with their money to helping people with their health.

The decision to choose acupuncture over western medicine arose from his desire to find an alternative for people to feel better without resorting to the potential side effects and often costly alternatives of taking medications or immediately getting surgery. Through careful research from The World Health Organization and PubMed and first-hand experience of receiving treatments from a Licensed Acupuncturist, Michael discovered and chose acupuncture.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys running and training for marathons, playing the guitar, and trying new restaurants and breweries.
