Violette Mortazavi a licensed acupuncturist in state of California has been practicing for more than ten years. She graduated with honors with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles. After graduation her interest led her to also study in China where she undertook advanced acupuncture training at the International Acupuncture Training Center in Beijing under the guidance of renowned masters and where she gained invaluable experience treating patients for pain, women’s health, and numerous other issues.
Growing up in a family of nutritionists & herbalists sparked her passion for alternative medicine which led her to study Chinese Medicine and to pursue a professional career in the field. Her mission has always been to provide long lasting healing effects to all her patients.
She is proud to be part of the Modern Acupuncture team where she can work alongside other highly trained and professional acupuncturists in a relaxing and safe environment and to bring the highest level of care that is both affordable and accessible to the community.
When Violette is not treating patients she is enjoying her time with family and friends, cooking authentic foods, taking long walks in nature, reading the work of her favorite authors, and playing tennis.
Sheila is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She served as a hospital Corpsman in the Navy which gave her a lot of hands-on experience with patients. That experience inspired her to pursue a career in acupuncture. She wanted to stay in the medical field and offer her patients a medicine that is drug-free and proven to work.
Sheila’s favorite part of being an acupuncturist is when her patients give her “that look” when their pain is decreased. She decided to join the Modern Acupuncture team because the mission statement “To Make Your Life Better” was inspirational and she likes that the model makes acupuncture accessible to all.
When she isn’t treating patients, Sheila enjoys learning new things, going to the beach and Lego Land with her family. She also enjoys off-roading with her husband.
