Dr Kade received their Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder, CO and Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, San Francisco, CA. Dr Kade will be working at both the Des Peres and Brentwood Modern Acupuncture locations in the St Louis area. Dr Kade became interested in acupuncture while performing and touring as a professional dancer, utilizing acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Herbs to increase their performance ability, as well as heal from athletic injuries.
After 20-years of working with folks with sensory, developmental, cognitive and social challenges, Dr Kade was looking for a career change that would still allow them to serve, as well as target the whole health of an individual. Dr Kade decided to enter the medical field as an herbalist and an acupuncture medicine practitioner. Dr Kade is excited about working with the Modern Acupuncture team as a great way to introduce someone with an average American lifestyle to the health benefits of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in a way that feels comfortable, affordable, and convenient with their current lifestyle.
Outside of work, Kade is an avid outdoors person, backpacker, hiker, climber, as well as spending free time dancing, and working on growing medical and food forests in their yard with the dog, cat, and four chickens.
Myahn is a dedicated acupuncturist whose interest was sparked nearly two decades ago when she tried acupuncture for a sports injury. She views the world through the lens of interconnectivity, seeing acupuncture as a tool for individuals to take charge of their own health and wellness.
Embracing the transformative potential of this holistic approach, she joined the Modern Acupuncture team. Myahn is a staunch advocate of distal needling and values the organization's aim of bringing acupuncture into mainstream healthcare.
Currently, she practices in St. Louis, a city she loves for its geographical centrality and cultural mix, aligning with her perspective on the interconnectedness of our world. St. Louis's heart-centered vibe resonates with her belief in the heart as the Emperor of the body in Five Elements Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Through her practice, Myahn aims to promote individual and collective wellness.
