Jim was drawn to acupuncture due to his own health issues after the first Gulf War. Acupuncture helped him so much and he wanted to be able to help others just as much, so he studied acupuncture and graduated from the North West Institute of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture in Seattle in 1997. Jim loves the St Louis area because of the people, food and music and sees Missouri as the up-and-coming best place to live. He’s excited to be part of Modern Acupuncture because he is part of a team that brings acupuncture to the most people and makes their lives better.
Dr Jill Camp received her acupuncture certification through Logan University, College of Chiropractic. Dr Jill wanted to include acupuncture as part of her scope of work to provide an additional modality to help promote an improved overall wellbeing with her patients. As part of the team at Brentwood, she is able to help many patients through her acupuncture treatments in their journey for a healthy lifestyle.
Dr Kade received their Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder, CO and Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, San Francisco, CA. Dr Kade will be working at both the Des Peres and Brentwood Modern Acupuncture locations in the St Louis area. Dr Kade became interested in acupuncture while performing and touring as a professional dancer, utilizing acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Herbs to increase their performance ability, as well as heal from athletic injuries. After 20-years of working with folks with sensory, developmental, cognitive and social challenges, Dr Kade was looking for a career change that would still allow them to serve, as well as target the whole health of an individual. Dr Kade decided to enter the medical field as an herbalist and an acupuncture medicine practitioner. Dr Kade is excited about working with the Modern Acupuncture team as a great way to introduce someone with an average American lifestyle to the health benefits of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in a way that feels comfortable, affordable, and convenient with their current lifestyle.
Outside of work, Kade is an avid outdoors person, backpacker, hiker, climber, as well as spending free time dancing, and working on growing medical and food forests in their yard with the dog, cat, and four chickens.
Carey became interested in Acupuncture as a natural medicine when she was helped by the Guna and Embera Indians as a child. She witnessed the healing effects of natural medicine where other treatments had failed. Fast forward, years later her son became ill, all attempts to help him failed, and she went online to search for a Practitioner in natural medicine. Carey found the school she eventually graduated from, Texas Health & Science University. She witnessed the restoration of her son’s health in two weeks that had not been achieved in six months. Carey loves waking each day knowing her job is part of the change she wishes to see in the world and chose Modern Acupuncture to provide individuals with limited time the opportunity to access the healing benefits of acupuncture. Carey enjoys traveling, especially in Latin America, exploring her new city of St. Louis, dancing, games, studying ancient archeology, anthropology, and lost healing artforms.

I had a great experience here! I’m new to acupuncture and wasn’t sure what to expect, but both the Zen Advisor and the Acupuncturist walked me through the whole experience and talked me through everything that would happen. I felt very welcomed and was put at ease from the moment I walked in.
Menger is fabulous!!! My neck and shoulders feel amazing!!!
I have a demanding job as a Pharmacist, long hours, lots of patient contact, and making quick decisions and focusing all the time. I couldn't believe how much better I can sleep, with as little as 3 treatments. I love the membership pricing, so affordable!
Absolutely love this place! I had no idea that acupuncture could help me with so much. You just have to go in and experience it first hand!
