Celebrate Women's Health in May

National Women’s Health week kicks off on Mother's Day, May 12 and goes until May 18th. This week is an opportunity for all women to celebrate their health and focus on making improvements to ensure a long and vibrant life. While one week is a great start, we encourage all women to make their health a focus every single day.
Women are more likely to suffer from common diseases than men.
Did you know that women are more often prone to major diseases than men? This includes depression, anxiety, stroke, autoimmune disease and thyroid disorders. It’s also been noted that women make up two-thirds of patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. 
So, what’s the deal? Did women just draw the chromosomal short stick and are doomed to a life less healthy than their male counterparts? Or, is there more to the story?
