Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Michelle Sigler, L.Ac. #0582Michelle Sigler, L.Ac. #0582

Michelle Sigler graduated from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. She started her acupuncture journey after suffering for years with chronic pain. That inspired her to go to acupuncture school to learn how to share this medicine with others. The thing Michelle loves most about being an acupuncturist is making people feel better. “I love being able to offer people a holistic approach to healthcare without all the side effects of prescription drugs.” She wanted to be a part of the Modern Acupuncture team because it is a style that makes acupuncture more affordable and accessible to everyone. When Michelle is not at work she enjoys fresh air, sunshine, and solitude. She is passionate about clean eating and using food as medicine.

Francy Rodriguez ND L.Ac #1009Francy Rodriguez ND L.Ac #1009

Francy attended the Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. She decided to become an acupuncturist to improve patient’s health in a manner that treats the cause of the illness and not just the symptoms. Hearing patients tell her how great they feel after treatment when conventional medicine didn’t help is what Francy loves the most about being an acupuncturist. Modern Acupuncture’s principals align with her own, which is why Francy decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team. She also likes that Modern Acupuncture is a place where patients can come to relax and separate from the daily stressors causing some of these illnesses. Outside of work, Francy enjoys reading, watching movies with family, swimming, and dancing.

Christopher Carton, DAc, LAc, Diplomate of Acupuncture NCCAOM, LAC-2054Christopher Carton, DAc, LAc, Diplomate of Acupuncture NCCAOM, LAC-2054

Christopher became an acupuncturist because he believes the way acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine works with the body's own innate healing capabilities is the truest form of medicine. He believes in the simple fact that acupuncture can lower stress and help balance the nervous system. It is estimated that over half of doctors visits are caused by stress related illnesses alone. Balancing the body and putting it in the best position to heal itself is priceless. Christopher graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science. He recently moved to Charlotte because Charlotte is a large, growing city with a small-town feel. He is excited to explore what Charlotte has to offer and contribute by helping the population heal.

Christopher joined the Blakeney Modern Acupuncture team because he loves the Zen Lounge and the space Modern Acupuncture has created for patients. He loves the membership model as well, enabling patients to experience the benefits of acupuncture on a weekly or monthly basis. The effects of acupuncture stack, the more you go, the better you feel.

Meagan Manseau LAc, MSAc, DiplAc #2069Meagan Manseau LAc, MSAc, DiplAc #2069

Megan graduated from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture helped her with her own health issues and resolved her migraines. She was amazed at all that acupuncture can do and knew that she wanted to help others as it had helped her. She is excited to be part of the Blakeney Modern Acupuncture team because she loves the modern approach to this ancient medicine. Modern Acupuncture makes this medicine easily accessible to all in a way that adapts to their schedules and lifestyles. Megan loves the Charlotte area because there is so much to explore when she is spending time in nature, from the ocean to the mountains.
