Joe attended the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. After suffering from a lingering viral infection and taking prescribed and over-the-counter medication that was not helping him get better, he knew he had to try something different but wasn’t entirely aware of the options available to him. During a discussion with a physician friend, he was introduced to acupuncture. Joe loves working closely with patients through the healing process. He believes personal interaction allows a patient to share their state of health, wellness and disease including mind, spirit, lifestyle, and physical being to best serve the patient. Modern Acupuncture’s mission of serving and making life better for the masses and providing an affordable, safe and restful atmosphere is what made Joe decide to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, dog, doing Qi Gong, Tai Chi, mountain biking, hiking, and cooking Asian cuisine.
Rachelle attended acupuncture school at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine. She decided to become an acupuncturist when she was half way through her pre-med degree and realized that most of her classmates were more interested in the degree than being able to work with patients on what she believes to be the most important part of their life- their health. She began to do her research and found a medicine that truly encompassed when she believed offered true healing- acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The thing she loves most about being an acupuncturist is “having an infinite tool kit to help patients.” She loves that she has access to a medicine that is both powerful and gentle, and she gets to guide her patients toward their health goals. Rachelle decided to become a part of the Modern Acupuncture team because it allows her to focus on her patients and give the gift of health to more people without sacrificing patient care. Moving to Nashville to be close to her husband’s family was also a bonus for her. Outside of work, Rachelle and her husband enjoy being in the woods hiking waterfalls and camping under the stars. They have also extended their love of outdoors to their 4 year old son, who has been camping since he was 6 months old.
Diane attended the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, California. She decided to become an acupuncturist after seeing how effective it was on herself and her friends and family. Helping people with health problems they have not been able to resolve in other ways is what Diane loves the most about being an acupuncturist. The ability to treat more people in a reduced amount of time is why she decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team. Outside of work, Diane enjoys being outdoors, reading, working in her yard, and socializing.
