M. Rachelle Poffenberger, MSOM, L.Ac / Owner #362M. Rachelle Poffenberger, MSOM, L.Ac / Owner #362

Rachelle is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist and Herbalist, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2009. Practicing Eastern Medicine for over almost 15 years, she’s traveled the world advancing her knowledge in alternative and complementary healthcare modalities to offer more effective treatments for modern disorders.

While the focus of her practice has largely been in fertility and reproductive health, she believes that the same principles of balance and sustainability applied throughout the stages of family planning can also be applied to the stages of building (or rebuilding) physical and mental health.

In June of 2022, her and her husband, Adam, took over ownership of the Modern Acupuncture Cool Springs location in Brentwood, TN and less than a year later became co-owners of Modern  Acupuncture’s sister clinic in Murfreesboro. Their aim is to make traditional medicine easy to understand and integrated into everyday health and wellness. She still actively treats patients, offering cupping and guasha, in addition to current acupuncture services in Brentwood.

I started sessions here for stress, anxiety, nerve damage, and muscle aches. My only experience with acupuncture prior to this was an experimental program the Army had for soldiers suffering from TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). While the program was effective, it didn't last forever. Modern Acupuncture has been a life-saver. The sessions are painless, and I feel real relief. Today I walked out feeling ten years younger. I was pain free and mentally focused. I can't say enough good things about the staff and facility. It's a positive experience from the smile and greeting you receive at the door to the professional acupuncturist who will literally change your life. I look forward to treatment here for years to come.

Modern Acupuncture was my first experience with acupuncture. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. The staff is very welcoming and explained the process...making note of why I was there and how this could help. In addition, I really love the vibe of the studio. It's very relaxing and perfect for a moment of zen.

Amazing amazing amazing! I can’t begin to express the relief Amy and her team at Modern Acupuncture gave me. I went in with pain from fibromyalgia and chronic migraines and left feeling better than I have in years. I was lucky enough to get immediate relief and my boyfriend got relief from his back and neck pain as well. Highly recommend Modern Acupuncture to anyone, there are benefits to reap for all!!!

I visited Modern Acupuncture for labor induction. After two sessions (2 days in a row), contractions started. Contractions were 6 minutes apart during my third session and baby was born less than 12 hours later! So thankful for the knowledgeable staff and the very reasonable package pricing options.

Excellent experience! Everyone is very professional and pleasant. After developing some neuropathy-related numbness in my lower legs and calves, I decided to try acupuncture instead of medication. After 6 treatments, I can tell a noticeable improvement in the numbness. I plan on continuing the treatments to see how it goes.
