Chanelle earned her Master’s of Traditional Oriental Medicine from PCOM in San Diego, CA. Upon completion of her Masters’ Chanelle studied at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and gained hands on experience studying in one of China’s oldest TCM Hospitals. Chanelle also worked in a private oncology clinic in Milan, Italy for 2 years and has a special interest in immunology and internal medicine. She also uses acupuncture to treat pain, headaches, allergies, stress, anxiety and depression, to name a few. Chanelle is a Texas licensed Acupuncturist and a Qi Gong instructor. During her time in china she saw how Traditional Chinese Medicine can treat and address almost every disease. Experiencing how acupuncture can restore health and balance into the entire system and improve quality of life is what Chanelle loves most about being an acupuncturist. Chanelle decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team because it resembles the treatment style that she experienced while in China. Some of the similarities include that it is accessible and affordable to everyone, and can reach a larger demographic. “Modern Acupuncture offers a beautiful, relaxing and safe environment, the highest quality experience and it helping more people to have improved health” Chanelle says. Outside of work, she enjoys being outside running and hiking, cooking healthy food and connecting with the amazing Austin community. She speaks 4 languages including French, Spanish, Italian and English, and enjoys engaging with people of all cultures, traditions and world views.
Tricia is a graduate of Texas Health and Science University in Austin, TX. She became an acupuncturist after having a profound experience with acupuncture in her early twenties. After receiving relief from her anxiety and symptoms related to hormone imbalances she new that acupuncture, as a career, was the right fit for her desire to live a purpose driven life. Tricia’s favorite part of being an acupuncturist is the ability to help alleviate another person’s suffering.
Tricia decided to join the Modern Acupuncture team because she was in alignment with the model and mission of bringing more people to acupuncture. After only a few minutes of meeting the clinic owner and learning more about the concept and philosophy of the brand and this location, she was enthralled.
When she isn’t treating patients, you can find Tricia practicing and teaching yoga in the Austin community. The Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail is like a second home to her and she loves jumping into the refreshing spring water of Barton Springs pool.
Yi-Chiann is a graduate of the Texas Health and Science University in San Antonio, Texas. She was born and raised in Taiwan. She got her physical therapy license and worked as a physical therapist for two years after graduating from China Medical University. She moved to the United States to expand her knowledge of academic research in Kinesiology. Later she discovered that physical therapy and Chinese Medicine made a very powerful combination, so she decided to study Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as well. Now, she is able to include both Western and Eastern medicine in her practice.
Yi-Chiann specializes in sports injury, nerve re-education, and pain management due to her background in physical therapy and Kinesiology. She also has a great interest in treating mental and emotional concerns such as stress, anxiety, and insomnia. Her philosophy is to do whatever she can to help people live healthier lives. The treatments she provides are aimed to help her patients move toward the state of health and balance.
Jeanette graduated from the Texas Health and Science University with a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the Texas Medical Board and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Growing up in China, Jeanette always had a passion for acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She loves to practice in this field of natural healing, providing gentle and personalized acupuncture treatments, and helping people to live a healthier life. She has helped many patients with a variety of health issues, from depression and anxiety to digestive disorders to PMS to chronic pain and many more.
Jeanette provides an effective and customized treatment strategy for each patient, offering guidance and support with compassion.
