Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Amie Guerra, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM), MSAc., BA Amie Guerra, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM), MSAc., BA

Amie is a graduate of the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. She decided to become an acupuncturist after having success using acupuncture for her own health. She also witnessed family members receive amazing benefits from acupuncture

What Amie loves most about being an acupuncturist is seeing her patients find pain relief, helping them feel better physically and mentally, and being able to witness the body’s amazing innate ability to heal. She feels incredibly grateful to be able to help people live their best lives.

Amie chose to be a part of the Modern Acupuncture team because she wanted to be a part of an extraordinary team that is committed to making the benefits of acupuncture accessible, convenient, and that provides a great experience overall.

Outside of work Amie loves hanging out with family & friends. She enjoys traveling and cheering on her three kids as they pursue their club and college athletic goals in softball and football.

Elizabeth Knickmeyer, L.Ac., Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), MATCM, BAElizabeth Knickmeyer, L.Ac., Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), MATCM, BA

Elizabeth is a graduate of Yo San University in Los Angeles, CA. She decided to become an acupuncturist because she wanted to learn a modality that works hand in hand with the medical community to provide the absolute best care for her patients. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is interacting with people that need help with their everyday lives.

She wanted to be part of the Modern Acupuncture team because she is true believer in the community-style acupuncture model. She likes the affordability and the fact that it enables people to get the number of treatments they need to get results.

Outside of work, Elizabeth’s interests include tennis, golf and horses.

Hyesun Cho, L.Ac #010048Hyesun Cho, L.Ac #010048

When Hyesun was a teenager, she sprained her ankle and went to an acupuncturist for treatment. She was amazed by how quickly it healed and was interested in acupuncture from that day forward. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is seeing patients feel better after treatment. She feels that it is healing her, just as much as it is healing them.

In Korea, there are many Chinese medicine clinics where you don’t need an appointment. Clinics are commonplace and inexpensive. She feels that Modern Acupuncture is a step in that direction, providing easy and affordable access to acupuncture.

When she isn’t treating patients, Hyesun enjoys playing the ukulele and making yummy sushi rolls.
