Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Bianca Yturralde, DAOM, MSOM, DOM, DIpl. OM,Bianca Yturralde, DAOM, MSOM, DOM, DIpl. OM,

Bianca earned her Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM and her Doctorate from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA.  She decided to study acupuncture after it helped her with some of her own health concerns.  She just knew she had to learn more about it. She loves sharing with people the power of acupuncture and that the body can heal itself given the right tools and environment.  She is very passionate about serving her community. She joined Modern Acupuncture because she liked the concept of making acupuncture more accessible and convenient.  It helps people see that there are more ways to treat their health concerns outside of western medicine. In her free time, Bianca enjoys Photography, spending time with family, yoga, meditation and finding great vegan places to eat.

DeeDee Frye, MAOM, L.Ac., #01490DeeDee Frye, MAOM, L.Ac., #01490

Dee Dee is a graduate of the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, in Houston. She loves being an acupuncturist because she has a passion for helping people feel better and taking part in their journey to wellness.  She says that “acupuncture really can make your life better!” She decided to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team because she liked the concept of making acupuncture accessible to everyone. She feels that it increases the familiarity of acupuncture enabling more people to attain better health. When she’s not working, Dee Dee enjoys reading, writing, volunteer work, spending time with family, traveling, dog rescuing and “foodie” hobbies.

Daniel Yun, L.Ac. #01178Daniel Yun, L.Ac. #01178

Daniel is a graduate of the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He decided to become an acupuncturist after being inspired by his own doctors who helped him restore his health. He also had a deep desire to help others improve their quality of life.

His favorite part of being an acupuncturist is being able to “hold space” for his patients, treating them as individuals and taking part in their healing process.

Daniel chose to be part of Modern Acupuncture because it enables him to focus on patient care rather than tending to the details of running a business.

When he’s not working, Daniel enjoys watching or playing sports.  He has been an avid tennis player since his high school years.

Matthew C. Kim, L.Ac., MAOM #01757Matthew C. Kim, L.Ac., MAOM #01757
Matthew is a graduate of the New England school of acupuncture in Newton, MA. He became an acupuncturist because he always had a keen interest in helping others stay healthy. After practicing physical therapy for a few years in Korea, he wanted to enhance his skills, which led him to study in the States. But physical therapy provided only limited assistance, not whole wellbeing. He felt there had to be a better way to substantially improve one’s life and help individuals to live life to their fullest potential. That’s when acupuncture caught his eye. Everything about the ancient medicine made sense to him. He believes that our body is the best doctor, and if we can get our body to function like it should, it will help eliminate other problems. This enlightenment led him to where he is right now. He wants to help people awaken the doctor within their own bodies through the use of acupuncture.
His favorite part of being an acupuncturist is reducing the skepticism around it. When people feel instant relief from pain, they know it works. Some buy treatment plans on their initial visit after feeling like a miracle hit them. The relief and refreshment felt after treatment gives patients confidence that acupuncture isn’t just about energy work, but genuine healing and blood flow stimulation which heightens all healing agents in the body. When he hears comments such as, “I slept like a baby for the first time in 20 years after retiring from the military,” or “My 10-year migraine is gone,” or “I’m pregnant after years of infertility,” it gives him confidence that he’s making a true difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys fishing, cooking and watching movies.

Blake Gordon, L.Ac., Dipl., O.M. #1608Blake Gordon, L.Ac., Dipl., O.M. #1608

Blake is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. After personally experiencing the amazing benefits of acupuncture she wanted to learn more.  Her desire was to share the effective, yet often unknown and underutilized healing therapy with as many people as possible. Her favorite part of being and acupuncturist is being able to promote healing naturally and alleviate pain quickly, without the use of surgery or drugs.

She wanted to join Modern Acupuncture because she saw it as an innovative concept that is making the healing practice of acupuncture accessible to the masses.  She feels that it will impact our health care system for the better, and accel the acupuncture profession.  She feels honored to be a part of this pioneering and healing team

When she’s not working, Blake enjoys reading fiction books, socializing with friends, eating good food and seeking out new experiences.
