Meet Our Acupuncturists, L.Ac.

Myriam Ragon, MSOM, L.Ac. #01438Myriam Ragon, MSOM, L.Ac. #01438

Myriam is a graduate of The American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston.  She wanted to become an acupuncturist since childhood when she discovered how much acupuncture helped people with their health concerns. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is being able to help people improve their quality of life.  She joined Modern Acupuncture because she wanted to work with like-minded people. When she’s not working, Myriam enjoys reading, camping, visiting art and science museums and attending plays.

Rachel Eckroth, L.Ac. #01406Rachel Eckroth, L.Ac. #01406

Rachel fell in love with acupuncture during her career as a professional dancer. She relied on it to relieve the pain of old injuries, new aches and enhance her physical energy. Through acupuncture Rachel realized the inherent wisdom of the body to heal itself. She attended the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Houston, TX.) and received her Master’s degree.

Rachel is elated to be a part of the Modern Acupuncture team because of its commitment to making your life better. She is dedicated to working with her patients to find the most effective and nurturing path towards restoring health and well-being. She graciously treats a wide variety of conditions and health concerns ranging from pain (chronic and acute) to emotional/psychological concerns, digestive disorders and hormone imbalances.

Rachel has since retired from stage performance but regularly entertains her children and grandchildren ...and still sneaks in a bit of salsa dancing.

Megan Han, L.Ac. #01633Megan Han, L.Ac. #01633

Megan attended South Baylo University in California. She grew up watching her grandfather treat patients as an acupuncturist and she was amazed at how effective and helpful it was for them. Her intention of becoming an acupuncturist naturally became bigger and she yearned to be a healer to help people just as her grandfather had. Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is seeing the immediate improvements of her patients and how they leave the clinic with brighter, happier expressions. She joined Modern Acupuncture in Houston because she likes the unique approach and the ability to help multiple people at once. When she’s not working, Megan enjoys walks In the park with her family in the Houston area and watching baseball.

Junghee (Joy) Kim, L.Ac. #AC00863Junghee (Joy) Kim, L.Ac. #AC00863

Joy is a graduate of the Texas Health and Science University in Austin, TX. She became an acupuncturist because she wanted to practice holistic medicine that prevents and treats common diseases. Her favorite part about being an acupuncturist is seeing her patients smile after their treatment.

Joy joined the Modern Acupuncture team because she liked the idea of making acupuncture more approachable and affordable.

When she isn’t treating patients, Joy loves watching movies and spending time with her three dogs.
