Jessica is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas.
She decided to become an acupuncturist because for a long time she knew she wanted to help people, but wasn’t sure how. Through her own search for better health and wellness outside standard, drug-based approaches, she was introduced to acupuncture. Her acupuncturist showed her that being a healthcare provider is an act of care and love towards others. That’s what she wanted to be and why she decided to become an acupuncturist. She loves that she gets to connect every day with many wonderful people in such a profound and meaningful way.
She joined Modern Acupuncture because it allows her to bring this powerful medicine to anyone. Modern Acupuncture makes acupuncture more accessible than ever before.
When she’s not working, you can find Jessa Hiking Austin-area trails with her dog, Nugget. She loves swimming, paddleboarding and generally soaking up the sun. She’s an avid reader, writer, and “doodler” and hopes to take up rollerskating and writing poetry.
Mary is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. She is also currently enrolled in the AOMA Doctoral program.
She became an acupuncturist because she wanted a profession where she could help people and never stop learning. Integrative medicine runs in her family, as she is a second generation licensed acupuncturist and second generation graduate of AOMA.
Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is that she gets to be a part of providing people both immediate relief of pain and, equally important, ongoing good health. She loves that she can be a part of that for people, like her acupuncturist was for her.
After meeting the clinic owners, Debi and Tom Etheredge, she could see they have the right idea about the business of medicine. They prioritize patients and employees before all else. She was confident that she can serve patients well in Modern Acupuncture model.
Outside of work Mary enjoys Hiking and camping with her dog, Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Qi Gong, gardening, and trying new things.
Jacqueline is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas.
Jacqueline found acupuncture as a teenager when it was the only thing that successfully treated her severe back spasms. She was also aware of the ways that pain oftentimes leads to drug addiction, a condition prevalent today and that she saw firsthand in her hometown in Ohio. Those experiences started her on a path to learn holistic medicine so she could offer others drug-free relief from their pain and improve their overall health.
Her favorite part of being an acupuncturist is when people have tried everything and acupuncture was their last resort, and it is the one thing that can give them relief from their aliments. That is when they become true believers in acupuncture
Jaqueline chose to be a part of the Modern Acupuncture family because she views it as a great opportunity to spread this medicine and make it available for everyone.
In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys hiking the greenbelt, swimming, and exercising. She also really enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. And loves taking her dog out with her to take part in the Austin social scene.
